Marcus D. Wiley Hartford Concert reviews
Bad timing
"We decided to splurge on the rodeo concert Star Experience Ryan Bingham as we really enjoy this performer and all of the rodeo events. My wife and I had a private escort into the venue and enjoyed a nice private area for a delicious 4 course meal, with a couple of drink tickets included in the star experience. So far, we are blown away by the experience. Once finished with dinner, we made our way up to our rodeo ticket seating in the HEB fan zone. These seats were ok, but most of the rodeo had to be viewed on the Jumbotron as we were essentially on top of the bucking shoots. We found ourselves back down at the dining area watching the rodeo on the TVs in that area for some time before returning back up to our assigned seats to watch the bull riding event. When escorted into the dining area, we were informed that once the last bull rider rides, we were to line up in a particular area to be escorted down to the dirt rodeo area for an up close seat for the concert performance. Unfortunately, we followed the directions but were nearly the last people in line to be escorted down to the dirt arena. There were about 300 people in front of us, to be taken down in a utility elevator that only held about 25 people at a time. Ultimately, by the time we made it down to the concert area, the performance by Marcus D. Wiley had already begun, and we had missed at least the first two songs. We were extremely disappointed in this timing, especially since we paid extra for this experience. We don’t understand how this can happen since the rodeo does this every year with multiple performances per year. You would think they would have this timing figured out. All in all, the performance was great, but I just wish we could have seen all of it. It would be nice to have our tickets compensated somehow for this inconvenience."
